Masala Paneer Bites/ Masala Paneer Pakora
Ingredients:
- Jeera – 1 tbsp
- Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
- Black peppercorns – 5-7
- Sauf – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 tbsp
- Chilli flakes – 1.5 tbsp
- Milk – 2 litres
- Green chillies – 2-3
- Pudhina powder – 1 tbsp
- Lemon – 3-4
- Besan – 2 cups
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
- Peri peri masala – 1 tsp
- Onion powder – 1 tsp
- Garlic powder – 1 tsp
Process of Making Paneer Pakoda :
- Set a pan on medium low heat.
- Add all the spices (jeera, coriander seeds, sauf, black peppercorna) and roast for 2 minutes.
- Cool down to room temperature and then transfer it to pestel.
- Now add salt and red chilli flakes.
- Grind it coarsely.
- Transfer milk into a vessel and add the masala after 5 minutes also add green chillies and pudhina powder.
- After 2 minutes add lemon juice.
- You will notice that milk start curdling.
- Now put a muslin cloth on a strainer and strain the curdle milk.
- Fold the cloth and put a heavy object for atleast 2 hours.
- Masala paneer is ready.
- Now cut the masala paneer into small cubes.
- Now take another vessel and add besan, salt, red chiily powder, onion powder and garlic powder.
- Mix them well and add water to make lump free and smooth batter.
- Dip the paneer block into batter and coat it well.
- Deep fry the pakora in hot oil on medium high flame until crisp and brown in color.
- Your masala paneer bites is ready to serve.
- Serve it with mint chutney or ketchup.
